On the show this week, picture this. You’re root, root rooting for the home team, and as has now been established, if they don’t win, it’s a shame. You’re yelling, cheering, demanding that the coach be fired, and your fingers never leave your OneCourt device, where a tactile depiction of the action is bringing you closer to the game. That’s the vision of OneCourt’s Jerred Mace, who sat down with me at the National Federation of the Blind’s convention for a chat about their emerging technology.

Not many radio programmes last for 50 years, let alone hosted by the same person. This week, it’s my great honour to talk with legendary BBC presenter Peter White about his life, his work, and a few observations about being blind in Britain. Peter has been presenting In Touch, the BBC Radio 4 programme for blind people, since 1974. Knowing that Peter was out there pursuing the career I wanted to was of huge encouragement to me as a spotty youth, so it means a great deal to me to have him on our final episode.

And as the show ends, we catch up with our cool team. Hannah Mae Aldeza, AKA Hannah the transcribing banana, Derek Lane, a final Bonnie Bulletin, and some reflections from me.

It’s all here, as we do this thing one final time, on Living Blindfully 305.
