Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Our amazing community has put together another informative, thought-provoking listen for you, and it’ll be in your podcast app this weekend. Here’s a sneak peak of what you can expect. You’re welcome to comment on these or any other issues that are on your mind.
As someone who has advocated on everything from app accessibility to work that has led to international treaties, I get asked to give speeches from time to time about advocacy. If you’ve heard any of them, you will know that I often say that advocacy is like banging your head against a brick wall. But every so often, the brick wall moves a bit. When it does, it feels so sweet. In the next episode, I am pleased to talk about something very dear to me that I’ve been speaking out about for well over a quarter of a century, and where I made a bit of progress.
This week, Apple announced some new things, the most interesting of which to most of our community will I think be the iPhone SE. I’ll be recapping all the announcements and breaking them down from a blindness perspective. But most important of all, I want to know what you think. Are you glad there’s a new iPhone out there with the Home button and Touch ID? Will you be buying one? Would you have liked anything different? Do share your views.
David Kingsbury has written a masterpiece! A masterpiece I tell you! It’s called a Windows Screen Reader Primer, it gives you an incredible instruction manual for using Windows when you’re blind, and best of all, it’s free. Now you can’t complain about that price. David joins me to talk about the book.
There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
