Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.
We’re looking ahead to Apple’s Far Out event, with some listeners commenting on various Apple things as anticipation builds. We will of course be publishing a special episode, 196, right after the Far Out event concludes, with expert analysis from a blindness perspective.
With iOS 16 so close, it saddens me to report that at the time of writing, my favourite podcast app of all time, Castro, has unresolved serious bugs meaning you won’t be able to hear Mosen at Large and some other podcasts when you upgrade to iOS 16. I went on an epic, intrepid quest to find a podcast app that could provide the same efficient experience as Castro. My quest failed, but I’ll tell you which one came closest and what I have switched to. I still hope Castro gets it together though, I miss it a lot.
In episode 176, I spoke with Greg Stilson and William Freeman about the collaboration between APH and Dot Incorporated. This week, I’m delighted to be speaking with Eric Kim, the CEO of Dot Incorporated, about what got him interested in blindness technology, and the exciting new DotPad.
We’ll also hear some reflections on the frustration a listener experienced with elevators at the NFB convention, plus some clever little robots that were serving ACB convention attendees.
There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
